Marc Black

Marc Black

Sing along to the history of the 1950’s and 60’s through popular song. Join New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Marc Black, for a musical tour through these two historically defining decades. You’ll sing along with wonderful songs as diverse as Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka -Dot Bikini and Blowin’ in the Wind, by artists ranging from Gene Autry to George Harrison. In addition to the music and discussion, this popular program features a slide show that’s sure to slide you right back in time. Marc will also perform his own group’s top forty hit from 1967, “Happy” by the Blades of Grass.

We saw this particular program of Marc’s in Tampa at another friend’s house concert venue a year or so ago, and it was different than the typical experience and completely enjoyable! We think you’ll like this too! It will be Marc’s second visit to Among Friends and we’re delighted to have him back! Learn more: here is Marc’s website. And here are a couple of his original releases I particularly like: I Love You Rachel Maddow and Ooo I Love My Coffee
