Ronny Cox

Help us welcome Ronny Cox (and friends) back to Lakeland for his third visit! Folk singer first, but he’s an actor too, and whether you know it or not, you’ve seen him in movies and TV many times ( But we first met him in Naples, Florida many years ago as a folk singer in a tiny sandwich shop. We became friends, and in 2014 went with him and a small group of others on a two-week tour of southern Ireland. Every time he’s played for us, he brings along a couple of talented and interesting musicians to make up a duo or trio, including Radoslav Lorkovic, Karen Mal, T. Bruce Bowers, and others. We promise an exciting and enchanting evening! Here are a couple of song samples: Sanctuary and Happy Father’s Day and Bus to Baltimore (used in soundtrack for and episode of the TV show “Nashville”) and The Dutchman.

  1. Hi,

I would love to attend the Ronny Cox show on Saturday, Feb. 9. I’ve attended house concerts in the past, but this would be my first time at your home. I’ve read/heard amazing things, and I can’t imagine a better artist to see in this format than Mr. Cox.
I see that a donation is suggested, and that snacks can be brought… sounds great! Four tickets is what I need (unless that exceeds your limit). I certainly hope you accept my request. If so, please provide any further information I would need (directions, parking, etc)
Hope to hear from you soon.

    Ashley Varner
