Grant Peeples has been a friend for more than 10 years. I think of him as a brother, and at this show, it happens to be his birthday, which will officially make him older than I am! He is the deepest, most introspective, literary, poetic man I know. He has found a way to our hearts with his weird and brilliant brain.  His story of how he got to where he is is fascinating, and I don’t think anyone will ever learn everything there is to know about him. He’s got a new album out that I just received in the mail (Bad Wife). It is all songs by women songwriters that he admires, and recorded by him from their perspectives. He didn’t even change the pronouns. Every album he creates is better than the last. Every poem he writes makes you stop in your tracks. If you don’t know of him, you should. Here’s his “About” page on his website, which is a bit of a dive into what made this Grant Peeples creature. He’s crusty and cultured at the same time. Don’t miss this one.
