Grant Peeples Live Streaming

I have missed having you here to experience live music in our living room! We have the next best thing coming up next week, Thursday, May 7 at 7:30 PM. You can pay as little as a dollar (plus the tiny processing fee), but the suggested donation is $10-$20. This is a private concert just for us, not a Facebook live stream. Anyone on this email list or who follows Among Friends or me, Becky on Facebook, whether you have been to a show ever or not, is who is invited to this streaming, interactive show. All you have to do is click this link right here and it explains how all this works. It is on the Zoom platform. Even if you’ve never done Zoom before now, it is easy to understand here. Grant’s assistant Donna Mavity is available to help get you out of any problems you may have, as explained in the link.

Please buy your ticket now! You will a reminder day of show. Buying in now helps us prepare, and it assures that if you encounter any issues, we will be available to help you through. (Though you can still also sign up at the last minute, of course.) Credit cards only – no Paypal at this time.

Grant Peeples has been a friend for more than 10 years. I think of him as a brother. He is the deepest, most introspective, literary, poetic man I know. He has found a way to our hearts with his weird and brilliant brain.  His story of how he got to where he is is fascinating, and I don’t think anyone will ever learn everything there is to know about him. He’s got a new album out that I recently received in the mail (Bad Wife). It is all songs by women songwriters that he admires, and recorded by him from their perspectives. He didn’t even change the pronouns. Every album he creates is better than the last. Every poem he writes makes you stop in your tracks. If you don’t know of him, you should. Here’s his “About” page on his website, which is a bit of a dive into what made this Grant Peeples creature. He’s crusty and cultured at the same time.

Show: Thursday, May 7
Time: Music at 7:30
Suggested Donation: $10-20

We trust that you are staying well, and staying home as much as possible. I hope you’ll join me for this show. It will be fun to see who “shows up” for this – let’s support Grant next Thursday!
